Knox Asset Intelligence

21.11

The major features of this release include:

  • Knox Asset Intelligence now integrates seamlessly with Knox Capture to provide scanning insights directly to the dashboard. Devices using both KAI and Knox Capture can report on the following data: Total Scans, Total devices, Barcode symbology types and device information. To learn how this works visit this page

Knox E-FOTA One

21.11

The major features of this release include:

  • End of support for Internet Explorer 11. Knox cloud services is recommended to be used on Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox
  • Gradual campaign rollout - a campaign may be rollout at a certain rate to a random set of devices daily, e.g. 5% of devices can start firmware download on the first day, next 5% on the day after and so on
  • Network throttling per WiFi SSID - maximum download speed for a specific networks identified by SSID in a campaign may be specified
  • Detailed firmware information on device - a detailed firmware information in the install ready popup notice is now displayed
  • Daily email reports for campaign updates - now it is possible to subscribe to daily email updates reporting a number of updated devices and failures
  • Automatic re-assignment of license and campaign to EMM groups - an automatic re-assignment of a license and campaign to devices in an EMM group which were not yet assigned
  • USB Ethernet support - now devices can download firmware over a USB Ethernet connection
  • Changes to client app deletion - Knox E-FOTA client app is no longer deleted from a device when it is unenrolled or deleted from the service. Client app can be uninstalled by EMM or manually
  • Changes to EMM group syncing - the number of groups that can be added form EMM instance is now limited to 1000
  • Improvements to campaign syncing - the campaign information is synced only if the target firmware version of the device assigned to the campaign has changed

Knox Mobile Enrollment Direct

V1.2

The major features of this release include:

  • Android Enterprise WP-C support: Since initial launch KME Direct only supported DO/Fully Managed devices. With V1.2 administrators can use the option ‘Let MDM choose’ instead of forcing Device Owner enrollment
  • Multi-time configuration via QR scan: It’s now possible to create an XML settings profile from within the KME Direct client which can then be applied to devices after initial staging, by simple scanning a QR code from the camera app. Previously it was only possible to apply configuration setting upon enrollment
  • Built-in relay server: KME Direct V1.2 now has a built in relay server so you can store XML and application files onto your machine which devices can then reference and install when enrolling
  • Added configuration options for Mobile network: With version 1.2, you’ll now be able make use of the following network options: Enable/ Disable roaming, Add Access Point Names, Specify Name, APN, Proxy, Username, Password, Server, MCC, MNC, Authentication type, PAN roaming protocol and confirm you MMS and MVNO
  • Enrollment through USB Ethernet: You can now enroll devices through a USB Ethernet connection without Wi-Fi or a mobile network connection. This can be configured in the Device Deployment Profile
  • Additional form field and guiding text updates: Version 1.2 release includes additional text changes to form field labels and guiding tooltips. Also, to ensure consistent terminology among Knox products, the previous use of KME Direct will be updated to the full name of Knox Mobile Enrollment Direct
